Jannou Credit Union CPEA Scholarship and Bursary Awards – Celebrating the Future of Our Credit Union

Castries, Saint Lucia – Wednesday, August 27th, 2025

Jannou Credit Union proudly celebrated its 45th Annual CPEA Scholarship and Bursary Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, under the theme "Celebrating the Future of Our Credit Union." This year, twelve (12) scholarships and eight (8) bursaries were proudly awarded to the children of our members, each one a symbol of promise, dedication, and the bright future of our credit union. The bar was set high, with applicants performing exceptionally well, their achievements reflecting the immense talent and potential within our community.

This ceremony is more than an annual tradition; it is a heartfelt expression of Jannou’s commitment to our members and the generations that follow. Currently, we proudly support fifty-three (53) scholarship recipients and thirty-four (34) bursary holders. Scholarships honor academic excellence, while bursaries provide families with the extra support, they need to nurture their children’s dreams. In both cases, we also recognize the active involvement of parents in their credit union. Participation that goes far beyond financial contributions, encompassing engagement in credit union activities and community life.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the room was filled with emotions that words could hardly capture. Proud parents beaming with joy, students glowing with achievement, and a shared sense of unity that embodied our motto: “Together, we can move mountains.” Every round of applause, every joyful tear, and every smile confirmed that Jannou Credit Union is far more than a financial institution; we are a family that genuinely cares and invests passionately in the futures of our members and their children.

The ceremony featured powerful addresses from keynote speakers, who reminded us that education is not just an investment in individual success but a foundation for national progress. Ms. Lisa Goodman, a member of the Scholarship Committee, encouraged parents and guardians to continue guiding their children while remaining active participants in Jannou’s community, highlighting how this involvement strengthens the fabric of our credit union.

None of this would be possible without our members, the heart and backbone of Jannou Credit Union. Your loyalty, commitment, and active participation enable us to fund programs like this, directly investing in the future of our children, families, and nation. Because of you, Jannou Credit Union is not merely providing financial services, but we are shaping dreams, empowering students, and building futures filled with promise and pride.
