Vieux Fort Moves Mountains!
Jannou Vieux Fort Offices showcased their newly renovated offices on
26th January 2022. Present at this launch were the Board of Directors, management team, staff, and members. The event took place on the 1st floor of the Chitolie building.
There was a small ceremony to commemorate this milestone. The president Mrs Emmanuel-Belizaire gave the opening remarks and highlighted the successes of Jannou Credit Union during 2021. She stated that this launch forms part of a series of changes implemented by the credit union to bring a more efficient service to members throughout the island.
General Manager Ms. Monrose in her speech gave a brief history on the humble beginnings of the Vieux fort office. The office opened with two staff members in its complement and operated 3 days a week. This move caused a tremendous strain on the Castries operations. She was then approached by Mr. Biscette who proposed to serve at the Vieux Fort office full time. She shared that the idea was welcomed by the Board of Directors.
Ms Monrose also expressed her gratitude to Mr. Faucher the contractor, who brought to life the teams’ concept, the staff from Vieux Fort, for their patience during the construction period and the members for their support.
Over the years the Vieux Fort contingent has expanded, tremendously as mentioned by Mr Biscette, Branch Administrator and Mr Gaspard, Chairman of the Building Committee in their speech. It was paramount that the offices reflected this growth. Mr. Biscette reminded members of Jannou's commitment to develop their lives through its products and services, in addition promised a world class service in an equally suitable work space.
